Skunk2 Racing 542-05-0230 Gold Anodized Rear Lower Control Arm for 2001-2005 Honda Civic

Pro Series lower control arms are an evolution of our original Skunk2 lower control arms with upgraded materials and stronger designs. Engineered harnessing decades of race-winning expertise, they are a must-have for suspension tuning and maximum handling performance. Each arm is CNC machined from high-quality 6061 Billet Aluminum for weight savings and increased strength and rigidity. Low deflection 80 durometer polyurethane bushings provide a large increase in feedback and handling while offering lower NVH (noise/vibration/harshness) than harder or spherical bearing type bushings. Additionally, tearing and un-seating issues are eliminated with our bushing design that allows the arm to rotate freely about the bushings. These arms, made to fit the 2001 to 2005 Honda Civic, feature our tapered I-Beam design. Extensive FEA (finite element analysis) testing determined that conventional straight and flat designs are prone to excessive internal stress risers. Our design is engineered to eliminate twisting, bending, and stress risers that can cause inferior control arms to fracture and/or completely fail. Hard anodization not only offers alternatives in color selection but also increases durability from the elements. The coating protects the base metals against wear and tear from debris and weather related corrosion.
